An industry led brief with Lambeth Council.

The goal of the brief was to design an object that fit within Lambeth Council’s new “Kerbside Strategy” – an initiative that would turn kerbside car parking into more sustainable and social uses and thereby also reduce car traffic in south London. A negative side effect of low traffic neighbourhoods is the decreased feeling of safety at night, especially for women who might not feel they can move freely. My lighting concept is designed to deter criminal activity by keeping low traffic roads well lit at night making the Council’s new project safer for women.
